Champagne and Barbecue, the unexpected combination!

With the sunny days, we can not help looking forward aperitifs with friends but also barbecues. For you the only drinks in a barbecue are beer or wine? Today, we take the gamble, certainly ambitious, to show you that we can enjoy a good barbecue drinking champagne.

The barbecue preparation

Even if you think it’s boring, preparing all the items you’ll need for your barbecue is an important step. It will save a valuable time for an optimal cooking.

Here is the list of utensils and accessories you will need:

  • an apron
  • a clip to return your dishes
  • a good knife and a cutting board
  • a large dish that will accommodate your creations after cooking
  • a drink to hydrate you while you’re cooking

Are you ready? We are almost done. Before you start, you must be sure that your barbecue is clean.

There are several tips for cleaning your grill: baking soda, white vinegar, aluminum foil, high temperature cleaning. So many natural products that will keep your grill clean. Finally, we advise you to clean it directly after use to avoid fat deposits by means of a simple lemon for example.

Grilled meat and champagne

Grilled, marinated or plain, meat will be the star of your barbecue. We know the great classics like chicken, sausage or merguez. But you can also enjoy a good breast or a rib of beef. The goal of a barbecue is to spend a friendly moment with friends or family. Why don’t you surprise them by offering to accompany them with champagne? Indeed, the association champagne and barbecue can be amazing!

Grilled fish and champagne

We suggest you to taste it accompanied by a “blancs de blancs” champagne. The fine bubbles of Chardonnay will sublimate the tender flesh of the fish. If you love champagne, you must already know your whiteness preferences. The choice is huge. With or without vintage, the “blanc de blancs” champagnes, including those of the famous house of champagne Ruinart, are a safe bet for a subtle, tasty and great degustation. We do not present those world famous champagnes of a rare delicacy. Your grilled fish will be an excellent  sublimated with these champagne.
